The developers claim that American Nightmare will not be the last part of a series of Alan Wake, because the sequel is already in development.Alan Wake seems to be stuck in Arizona. Moreover, it is inside one of his episodes of Knight Springs, previously written for the show. During the opening mysteries of his creation, Alan gets in a fight between light and darkness. According to the trailer, demonstrated at the Spike Video Game Awards on December 10, 2011, Alan hunts for Mister Scratch, his counterpart from the Dark Places, was first seen in the final episode of the first game.
